This is why the American health care system needs to be overhauled. I know republicans hate the idea of that but look at what is happening when we push our sick and mentally ill into the streets or otherwise out of the eye of the public. I think if the Republican party would embrace healthcare reform that gives all Americans access to actual medical care they would never lose an election. We can't keep sweeping the sick under the carpet and not expect repercussions.

I have close friends with children who have mental deficiencies and "segregate the mentals under lock and key" is highly offensive. In fact if I heard you say something like that in a public place loudly enough to be obnoxious we'd probably have words.
But yes, shocker sherriff Joe isnt in the news on this one huh? If more MSM outlets would pick up on some more of these "people with mental issues" stories it would shift the focus from gun control to healthcare reform. Where it needs to be.
