Don't know about the dock. I've fished the weed beds for bass that are everywhere. Long rod, dance a jig in an opening in the weeds, and you might get a nice bass, or two, or three

...but you should have brought your boat too. Not much bank fishing area.
It's a beautiful lake, but the park is even more so.
They do have and it is fully enclosed, It is heated but I do not believe it is air conditioned. Great fishing hole in the winter time. I believe you can rent a canoe to fish from the marina. Its not too awful far across the lake to the weed beds. You guys have a good time. Honk and wave when you cross the bayou.
