My roomate JT and I want to go fishing but dont have a boat. If you have a boat and would like to fish Sooner or Kaw or both the same day, we would buy the fuel and feed you lunch, cold drinks, bait.
We really want to go fish Broken Bow for Walleyes at night, but that is a long drive and needs more planning than a day on Sooner or Kaw since we live in Stillwater. We would do Keystone, but I have never done any good there.

Good luck to ya. If you really want to catch a lot of fish just take me with you. I guarantee you will catch the fish while I sit and rust hooks.

About 50 years ago, we were camped at Arbuckle Lake. Crappie were biting like crazy. Grandma sitting on either side of me.
Both catching crappie as fast as they could unhook and rebait. I never caught a fish.

I have a question.
Do you and your buddy know how to fish those lakes from a boat or are you leaving that up to the boat owner?

It takes some time to figure out a lake.
Where to get bait, where to find fish that will bite.

Most of my boat fishing is for catfish.
What kind of fish are you guys after?

Crappie I like to tie next to a bridge pillar at night with a light. (Eufaula lake)

Went on a charter trip many years ago in Lake Michigan for salmon and trout. There were 4 or 5 on the boat. There was one guy so drunk that the deck hand had to shake him and tell him to real in his fish. He was catching one every 20-30 minutes. No one else on the boat caught a thing. So clearly consumption of vast quantities of alcohol increases your fishing acumen.

I have fished Sooner with a guide before, 4 of us caught 62 wipers and three nice 5+lb channel cat that were really good eating catfish.
Biggest Wiper was 6lb, caught 20 that were 4-5lb size, smallest probably 2lb.
Fishing minnows and deep dive Shadrap Rapalas.
All three channels were caught on Shadrap lures
My arms were tired from landing fish. And wipers are the worst for making you get stuck by fish hooks the way the thrash around
As for Kaw, I have only fished below the dam, but have trolled for stripers at Keystone, I didnt catch any, one guy in the boat caughr a 26lb Striper, trolling big stick baits with downrigger between 412 and Cleveland in river channel. Supposedly big stripers in Kaw, I would love to hook a big one
