Zippo inserts recommendations ?

He threw in a Zippo branded butane insert to try out - only been using it for a day, but seems like the answer to modernize this rig

The Zippo butane torch is awesome—an actual torch not just a flame like a bic.

My only Zippo is converted to a butane with one of the Zippo inserts. There's absolutely zero chance that I'd deal with refilling and carrying the lighter fluid powered ones. I'd just carry a sealed BIC instead.

As far as I can tell, you don't have to fight evaporation of your fuel with the butane insert. If you only use the lighter occasionally, the butane insert is a no-brainer.

I know it’s likely my wonky brain but I really don’t see the point, It’s like having an electric Mustang or Harley. There are already a host of butane lighter options for the love of God, pick one of those and leave your Zippo as the good Lord intended. All joking aside I really don’t understand how some folks can see it as such an inconvenience to maintain and how squirting a little lighter juice in the tank once a week is something to be dealt with. But then I suppose that’s why my squirrel gun is a Winchester 1890, my HD shotgun a Win 1897 Riot and I cook on cast iron that’s been handed down from my great-great grandmother.
