So I accidentally told the kids that the shadow of the Earth was going to turn the moon blood-red tonight, and that the zombies would probably be out looking for brains. They geared up.

Yesterday, as I was reading the link describing the phases of the eclipse, I told (and embellished) one of my kids about the "Blood red moon". She ran with it and by last night, all 4 were trying to scare each other with tales of bloody moon night, zombies, vampires and Chuckie.

I love a good, dark sense of humor. Wonder where they got it from...
