I am going to try very hard to leave my comp gear at home and bring only some extra mags and ammo for the gun I holstered up with on that Sunday morning.

I was hoping some might compete with a 5 shot snubby since if the truth were known, a lot of people carry only that most of the time. I may have to resort to my Kahr PM9 or Glock 26 if I'm not going to have any fellow competitors in snubby division.

I have a 5 shot 38 special snubby and a 6 shot 357 snubby and a holster! My problem is that I only have one speedloader for each gun. I am gonna see how this match goes down and maybe I'll buy a few more so we can snub it up next month.

You know what's kind of funny? Most guys come out to shoot a uspsa competitio. And don't have anything but concealed carry gear to use. I am gonna shoot this match and I don't have anything other than competition gear to use. Looks like I'm gonna ne doing some shopping online today.

So on the rules it's IDPA on the gear, IDPAish on the scoring, and uspsa on the cover and reloads and tactical sequence of shooting targets.

If there was a vote I would choose to go all IDPA including the stuff us uspsa guys don't like (cover garment, reload behind cover, tactical sequence, etc.) just to make a rule book available to newbies. Furthermore I would like to utilize that IDPA membership I have paid for twice and never used;)

Not being a smartbutt, but does anyone carry more than one extra mag when out and about? Kinda doesn't make sense for the concealed carry gear rule, but opposite that is there a max round count in your mags? Just trying to figure this all out!

The divison/mag capacity are listed in post #1.

I've got 2 hks "slow loaders" and 2 bianchi "slower strips" we could share as well as a nifty appendix iwb that a certain well known local holster maker made for me.

Well in that vein, depending on the time of year, my carry gun is a 6" STI with BIG HONKIN mag well and a spare mag. In hotter weather a 1911 with two spare mags in holders and one in the pocket. Had a little J frame years ago, but when I shot a soda machine and it didn't penetrat the thin sheet metal, I quit...not to say they don't work...just lost confidence. SO with all this rambling maybe if it is a winter match we could use the big stuff...and if it is summer the smaller stuff....Just an idea David
