I don't find the timeline remotely suspicious personally.

I haven't looked closely at all the timelines, but i haven't seen anything that says the body was dumped before the press conference. I'd also imagine that "DNA tests" is basically taking a sample and flying it as fast as they can to a lab for comparisons. Nothing says they had to keep the body around while they were doing the tests.

Do they have a lab capable of that in Afghanistan? That would make it plausible.

The speech specifically referenced DNA confirmation, and I thought that they were coming out with the burial at sea reports at the same time. I had ~10 tabs open to various networks from around the world.
