...then you've got to fly the body ~900 miles (at least) to the boat... that's a 5 hour non-stop one-way flight in a helicopter... what plane can carry a body and land on a carrier?

So then you've got maybe an hour to conduct a DNA test and dump the body at sea....

Something's not adding up.

Transport planes can land on carriers. Not to mention planes like the Osprey.

Not saying you are right or wrong, but planes big enough to carry a body can be flown onto carriers.

Try this, helicopters take off with seal team 6 on board from Jalalabad or other convenient spot, fly a short distance to the house, they do some housecleaning, return to base with a sack of dirt. They load the dirt to an osprey or C130 that moves the bag of dirt to any place of their choosing etc.

But then, Americans celebrate the Mexican victory over the French in the Battle of Puebla, so why should I be surprised???

I believe he's been dead. Let's see some photographs of a still-warm, freshly-dead Osama.

I don't expect or want the details, sources and methods need to be protected and I really don't need the details. What I know is that we finally got him. Any description that does not violate security will have to do.

I guess all I think of when I think "plane + carrier" is "fighter || harrier". An Osprey still makes it a 4 hour flight, though. The timeline given just doesn't seem plausible.

I'm sure there are other planes, i know the blue angel's support crews fly a transport that can land on a carrier, but needs rocket assists to take off. (It's pretty cool to see).

I haven't looked closely at all the timelines, but i haven't seen anything that says the body was dumped before the press conference. I'd also imagine that "DNA tests" is basically taking a sample and flying it as fast as they can to a lab for comparisons. Nothing says they had to keep the body around while they were doing the tests.
