Took my Dads pistol to them Dec 5 2010, for an ejector. Two months later, can't find the part still searching. Another two months same story. A little over a month ago I ask again and got the same story. So I start looking found one in 1 day. Went to H&H told them I could have the part shipped, it would take 2 days. Was told by Mgr not to worry his Smith Rep was shipping one. Called yesterday, was told still not part his Rep really let him down. He then asked if I had ordered the part from last month, I said no why would I. You said not to, that you had one coming. Hung up called the guy who did have the part and of course he doesn't. So by chance I called S&W, and talked to a Paul Gazda. He said he had 2 boxes of the part I needed, and said they have always had that part. Told me to ship the gun to him and he would fix it free of charge and ship it back. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. 7 months of waste. I will never take a gun there again, and will never send anyone there. What a bunch of BUTT HOLES................

You should go up and talk to Miles and let him know what has happened. I know people don't care for H&H in different ways, but Miles can't make changes if he doesn't hear this stuff for himself. He and Jayne are very nice folks and only want to offer what is lacking in oklahoma. They may not have the best pricing on stuff, but it's a business and he has a ton of over head. I would make complaint to Miles and see maybe things will change with that department. There is no excuse for their department to not be able to give lead times for individual firearms. They should have a call back on you firearm within 24 hrs with an estimated finish date based on part availability and current work load. If they can't do that then they need to find someone who can. Sometimes its better to do the leg work yourself. Ive come to that conclusion a long time ago because I am a very impatient person. Sorry to hear about your wait at H&H.

They don't have gunsmith at H&H. They are a bunch yahoos. I took a old Winchester into them a while back and I asked the older fellow (who was supposed to be their most experienced "gunsmith") what type of gunsmithing screwdrivers they use. The guyed looked at me with a puzzled look on his face, I could tell he didn't have a clue. I asked him to see his screwdriver set and he brought up a standard POS hardware store screwdriver set. Something bought a Lowes. I shook my head and walked away.

^^^ that's just sad. I'm not a gunsmith but I own a set of hollow ground screwdrivers.

I took my 1911 in there a long time ago to have the rear sight moved slighty in the dovetail. Not only was the guys attitude poor, the work was too. The sight came back to me all marred up like he just took it back there and smacked it with a punch and a hammer.
I won't take anything else there to be worked on.
