Ever see a utilitie trailer come un hooked from the hitch at 60mph?

I got to see it first hand today, on the way home from work. Good thing I allow plenty of room between vehicles. Trailer was being pulled by a white SUV, it started to bounce and swerve then BAM, shot out from behind the SUV, spun and flipped then landed back on its wheels and skid into the on coming lane of traffic. I shut the truck down just as the trailer spun out in front of me with the oncoming vehicle swerving into my lane to avoid the trailer. The ladies eyes driving that car were wide, I could see the whites of her eyes, as we were now facing front bumper to to front bumper staring at each other. Damn errie feeling.
No safety chains on the trailer from what I could see.

Once I was driving in OKC on I-35 near Hefner rd ? Out towards where you get on the turnpike for Tulsa.
I was following a flatbed semi that the trailer came off of. Thing was fishtailing all over then went airborne
off the highway and crashed landed on the outer roadway. scary stuff when you see how close some people tailgate the vehicle in front of them.

Once driving down the interstate I got over into the left hand lane to let a truck pulling a trailer with a dozer on it merge onto the highway. The dozer was on the trailer backwards. Just as it got on the highway the bucket fell off & started tumbleing all over the highway. I drive a Honda Accord. If I had not been in the left lane, I would have been crushed! Glad your ok!

My son was in the truck of a friends father when the trailer came off the hitch this past weekend. He said the chains were hooked up and the trailer whipped back and forth and the dad slowed down and the trailer smashed into the truck several times and both were dented up. The trailer hitch and jack ended up under the bumper and the dad couldn't get the truck off of it.
He said he had borrowed the trailer and the owner of the trailer gave him the hitch and it had the wrong size ball on it!

saw a tongue break off a two wheel trailer, thing went all over the road ,then up in a yard right in front of a front door , then just set there spinning round and round. some one was very lucky

I've modified a tailgate because I forgot to latch the tongue. Only happens once, and more have done it than you can imagine....

Have seen it happen myself and safety chains snap easy.
Ever see a gooseneck come unhitched and remove a tailgate ? I have "modified" a tailgate cause I forgot to open it before backing up to a trailer. Caught hell for until my boss did same thing
