I would have to agree with saddlebum on cattlemans. That's the only place that comes to mind where you can grab a fairly decent cut of beef in your blue jeans without paying a fortune. It's a little more than a few of the places mentionded but I believe there steaks are a little higher quality.

Cattlemens gets my vote good cuts reasonably priced and great house salad dressing. If you ever venture west I enjoy timber lodge on the n side of the nw hwy just east of hwy four. Neat place good atmosphere too.

I like Cattlemen's but unless they have brought their prices down, it's not what I would call reasonable at dinner time. Still, best croutons in town.

I have to say that we at at cattle's tonight, spent $70 ion a steak, prime rib, catfish and one kiddie plate chicken and fries. I don't think it was all the hype. Doubt we will do that again. All the food was good, but the place was a little hot to sit and eat and and the prices weren't comparable to the food. You dont get much of the house dressing on your salad either. Do it yourself and save the dinero.

Shoguns for me. Last time I ate at Cimarron, I had a cockroach walk across my plate. I don't freak out over that kind of stuff, but the fact that the wait staff thought nothing of it made me think it's a pretty common thing there.

cattleman's is good for lunch, a bit expensive for dinner. the house dressing is apparently just mayonnaise.

i used to go to Santa Fe a lot, but they closed down. And Steak N Ale closed down. I'm all alone in this big steak world.

Maybe I'll go to Texas Roadhouse now. Their New Orleans locations were decent, though I normally went for lunch dates.
