Both sides of this are being stupid.
The gay community and certain mayors are over-reacting and trying to attack a CEO for having personal beliefs through his business.
The conservative/mainly Christian element is having a knee jerk reaction. Any flag to rally around in defense of state-sponsored marriage and religious morality. It has already gotten out of hand on both sides.

The only reason I eat there is because they offer a good product at a decent price with nice employees. When they stop doing that, I won't want to go there.

chick fil a ceo says that his company values traditional marriage. rahm emmanuel, mayor of chicago, says that any business with those values is not allowed in his city. this is a clear violation of the first amendment. it was quickly organized that 8/1 would be chick fil a day where everybody goes to chick fil a to support their business.

the gays are trying to make it into a gay hate issue.

Nope not gonna do it.

I support the first amendment but I refuse to support a business that actively speaks out against GLBT individuals.

The owner of Chick fil a states that marriage is between a man and a woman and is condemned for it by gays and liberal politicians.

Barack Obama in 2004 stated "marriage is something sanctified between a man and a woman"....yet that didn't seem to offend anyone then but now everyone is offended by it coming from anyone source.

What gives? Seems members of the compassionate left are only understanding of a statement when it is only made by one of their own.

With all due respect to all. I respect this company and have for a long time simply due to the fact they are not open on Sundays. How many retail establishments that could make money on Sundays follow their beliefs when it comes to the almighty dollar?

That's exactly why I won't eat there. Don't care what god you wanna believe in, leave it at home...... every Sunday is a bit much.
