The 60's and all the assassinations set the country up for all kinds of BS gun control.

What is the point? That NO politician can be trusted with our freedoms. Don't we kind of already know that and have evidence of it right now?

We need to ensure that PRO 2A supporters who are unflinching in their resolve are elected. If we lose our firearms rights, it will be the end of us...

The bill was written and passed by the Democrat controlled CA legislators because the Black Panthers kept showing up when the LEOs were arresting somebody. They would be openly carrying loaded weapons and stand about 10 feet away shouting advise to those being arrested and try to intimidate the cops. Reagan signed it after the Black Panthers showed up at the capital trying to force their way in while armed.

Now I admit neither Reagan or any other political type is perfect but blaming him for the whole thing is just political spin and an attempt to pass the buck.

There was this group of people who were protecting their own neighborhoods. Some might call them a militia. They were armed and patrolling their neighborhoods. Some people got intimidated by this and wanted a way to stop them. The law was called the Mulford Act... The Militia fought back politically against the law and even organized an armed march on the capitol to express their 2A rights. There efforts were in vain as the ol Gipper signed the law into place.

Who's trying to change the subject? I'm just pointing out an interesting bit of gun control history.

If we dont want to end up like California, New York, New Jersey and soon to be Colorado then we have to look at HOW they got to where they're at. Where was the right to keep and bear arms first infringed? How did they get on the "slippery slope to tyranny"?

This isn't about blame or Republicans or Democrats...but I love how many of you project my jab at Reagan as somehow being "Pro-Obama".
