Hope and change is what im still hearing, I hope it changes for the better soon.
This is not a fight I want to leave to My children, any more than the debt they have already been assinged.
My fear is even a vote wont do any good , there are to many "Higher" votes with too much to loose.
Theyre not going to give up easy.

Nice comparison, but no cigar. Those folks are highly motivated and have support from many elements of the general population.

Do you really think groups of mostly out of shape (usually obese) middle-aged men will be able to handle trained troops, no matter what tricked-out AR-15 they own and no matter what training they had in the 70s? If you do, I'd like you to cash a check drawn on a Nigerian bank.

Do you really think that our self-absorbed, weak-willed, comfort seeking populace won't sell out every self-styled patriot for a flat screen TV or cash to blow at the nearest casino?

JB Gimme a break.

Do you think the insurgents in the countries that we have had war with have had daily work out regimems? Are they out of shape etc? You have no Idea about what those folks look like evidently. They are similar to us, some fat some not so. Mostly not so.

They are common folks just like you and me. They are pissed about foreigners being in their homeland, and are determined to get them out.

If a foreign military unit came to Tulsa with intent to take over the city and impose their idea of the perfect government, what would you do to prevent this if you didn't agree with their idea?

If you were offered a place in a unit to defend Tulsa, would you accept, or decline?

Or, would you accept your fate, and just submit?

It's the whole "foriegn military" thing that you've got wrong. Nobody's talking about that. Revolution, by definition, is war against your own government.

Tell that to the folks in rice paper hats from the 50's to 1973, and the folks in Iraq, and the folks in Afganistan.

They have all held their own long enough to change history.

Meh, invasion vs revolution. Not exactly the same. But I'm sure there's a point in there somewhere.

As stated earlier. Armed revolution in the US of A would not end well and would not gain its intended purpose. It would be a steaming hot mess!!!

While I and most like me would be stuck trying to defend my home, there would be enough active types to make it a nightmare for everybody and I believe enough troops joining the revolution to make it an equal fight.

Really? Its about what would you do in a revolution, and some have said that the American population being fat people can't handle a revolution, and I call bullhocky on that. I'm using examples around the world of small military's overcoming the major world powers.

I can put up a thousand links to how they do that.

Its no longer about trench warfare.

If you're fighting a foriegn power, you're not fighting a revolution. I think we would all fight the Chinese invaders, but that has nothing to do with revolution.
You could never muster the same resolve to fight American cops and soldiers, that you could gather against an outside power.

Dennis,

Of course if a "foreign military unit" invaded Tulsa, I'd do my best to resist, whether that was resisting actively (trying to kill the invaders) or by turning over my considerable stockpile over to those of you who are better able.

You missed my point.
