other than the cars..............hopefully there are enough remains of 5 (five) mortified souls to return to the families so an end can be had.

Actually there may be a lot more bodies than that. There was an old cemetary there at one time and coffins used to occaionally pop up. I think the old cemetary was actually close to where the cars were found. In fairness, when the dam was built they tried to move the cemetary, but it was old enough some of the grave markers had deteriorated or had been moved. That is just a memory and may be way off. The car that I believe ran off the dam had and entire family in it, divers found the car but no bodies.

Maybe/probably. It's messed up in back.
The older car doesn't display damage anything like camaro but the cars in the 50's were made with thicker sheet metal. probably depends on how stuck in the mud they were too.
Or, they could have been parked lakeside and someone rammed them from behind by accident.

The 50ish chevy is a full frame car, the camaro is a unibody....thus the damage to the camaro and the older one being able to be retrieved in tact. Pretty sure it is just retrieval damage. Both cars have panels rusted all the way through.....they had to have been pretty fragile after that long. The camaro would have only been a year old if that at the time of the incident...so all the rust through has occurred in the water.

Yeah, i'd imagine they could have had a pretty good hold on the bottom after that many years!!

Is the sunken cemetary at Foss or Lugert or Both? I was thinking it was Lugert.

Lugert was so low last time I was out there, you could walk the old cemetery
