That sounds like a great deal. I have wanted one of those for a very long time. There was an episode on triggers where a former navy seal was shooting one st some hanging coconuts. He exploded every one. It's next on my list.

I can hit a pill bottle at 50 yards with the one I had, offhand.

I just saw a guy pick a brand new one up for $790 at the Tinker BX gunshop. He even asked me if I saw that price, too, to make sure we weren't seeing things.

Damn that is cheap.

Yeah, it was crazy. I couldn't believe that was retail. And they're not consistent, either. In the other rifle case they had a M1A with black synthetic stock for $1695 and right next to it was another M1A with a camo synthetic stock for $3260. Both were full-length 20", one 10-rd mag. I didn't understand that one.

Sure it wasn't a Mini-14?

There's no way that was the retail price for a SOCOM 16, unless they just mismarked it.
