Depends on what all you will be doing. 1911 is a heavy protector, but heavy and bulky. Much of the time it is OK with me, but if I will be doing "active" things, I spend most of my time with a Sig P238 in my pocket because it is not in my way, but I do have it with me.

Have to agree with that. Actually, my EDC is the one in my avatar. S&W Model 65. 357 4" barrel and about as smooth an action as you can get.
