Way to go; let's get up there on our pick-up trucks and wave the confederate flag and whoop out a big 'ole rebel yell, so once again, we Okies can show the rest of the world our ass. yeah, that'll show him! I don't particularly like President Obama either, but as citizens, I was taught we show respect to the office regardless. Nothing to be gained here, and all it did was perpetuate the stereotype others have of us Okies a little more. It was a bad case of the dumbass IMO. Now, having said that, I absolutely do support the fact that these bumpkins have the right to show their ass if they so want. Just think it was in poor taste.

Our President loves to divide us and pit one group against the other. He absolutely reveled in that scene. Let's not feel embarrassed or think that we hurt his feelings. He laughed his Presidential azz off.

No Butt Hurt on my part. I'm just pointing out the fact that as a free citizen, with the backing of free speech, these folks are free to fly the flag. If someone else gets their butt hurt and their feelings hurt, it's just too bad. I find it disgusting that every time I turn on the tube or get on the net, I am assaulted with the image of some highly confused male, who now thinks he is a female. I don't write letters to the networks, I just simply turn the channel or turn it off. I think that people are so politically correct today, that they feel that they have the right to go through life without ever seeing anything that upsets there precious feelings.

But you know that many people do complain about it seeing that on TV. I agree with you, i don't want to see that either and i would turn the tv off too. But when the president of the United States, an african american, comes to Oklahoma with the intent of helping Oklahomans (white ones, brown ones, black ones, all kinds), I feel very embarrassed when I see that he is greeted by symbols that communicate the oppression of african americans.

What
"oklahoma standard" = only applies to people we like

lame. why are people so sentimental about a flag our enemies rallied under and killed our troops with?

Those who forget history are bound to repeat it, and it seems some people want to wipe out all reminders of one of the most shameful things in our past.

And again, Obama deserves NO respect for what he has done while in office and despite some short sighted peoples claims, it has nothing to do with his skin color and everything to do with his policies and job performance.

If you think banning a flag erases shame, you are delusional.

So petulant behavior is the way that changes? Not a chance.

Ummm you ever been to a museum????

Thats where the loser's flag and story goes.

Why don't you go to Alabama and tell them that. Let us know how it goes.

I see the flag waving as a message that we don't approve of his policies. And Cole's point on Obama "being good" to Moore after the tornados is BS. I live in Moore and have seen 1st hand what happened on three different occasions. It wasn't Obama's benevolence to help Moore, it was his friggin job! This is just another RINO that needs voted out and yes, I've done my part in the primaries to no avail.

Just think, Obama visited Durant and El Reno. Of all the places the POTUS could go in OK, that's where he went. All the rednecks driving around with their flag out did nothing but confirm a bias against our state. Good job.
