I'm not talking about the end user of either. I'm talking about the process of getting pot from the fields into the hands of the end users. Nobody can say there is not deadly violence involved. I can flood this forum with links to murders, kidnapping, torture, etc. related to pot growing, transportation, and distribution.
The exact same result came true when prohibition started. Look how well that worked. Legalize it and the violence ended over night.

Have you never read the case studies done by medical science? Think of the study that used simian monkeys that were given the choice of food or drugs. They chose drugs until they died...
Yes, and most of these studies are seriously flawed in a way to produce biased results. If you want to post links to specific articles, I'd love to look at the evidence.

As most people won't even bother reading the information in these links, I frankly feel like looking anymore up at this point is a complete waste of time. Once again we find that there people who would argue with a brick wall just to make themselves feel better.

good thing government is there to save these people from themselves then. Never mind that caffeine, booze and cigarettes (tobacco) can all have similar effects and are legal. Not to mention the myriad of prescription drugs that someone can obtain from a doctor then abuse.

... and meth is legal. in fact, it's prescribed as an appetite suppressant to certain obese adults, and as a treatment for some kids with ADHD.

which brings up another interesting point. There is weed in pill form that is regularly prescribed. It's interesting that the pill form has similar effects and side effects, yet is considered 'fine' yet the naturally occurring form is considered illegal in some states and would land a person in jail.

I'm referring to the "medical science" studies you posted about...those that have been authored in peer-reviewed journals. I'm not referring to media reports.
