Why is the morning after pill a sin? You previously stated you wanted it banned, but you're OK with with "birth control pills"?

Do you know what the morning after pill contains and it's mechanism of action? Or are you just parroting bullcrap you hear in the news?

Man, you're all over the place. It's almost as if you haven't a clue what you're talking about, yet you want your rambling, incoherent thoughts to be laws. Are you a politician?

Nope, I don't know how the morning after pill works. I assumed it worked after conception. Conception is the start of life. If that is not how the pill works then no problem.

I'm totally consistent - life begins at conception. Abortion should be considered murder. Is that simple enough for you to understand my position?

Why is birth control a sin? I know the Catholic Church teaches that but I don't agree. And, I am Catholic.

I didn't say it was, my specific point was regarding teens, that's what I mentioned. The question is what do most abortions result from, premarital sex(is that a sin?) and other "poor choices", or "accidents"(failed birth control)? My next question would be should we also start prosecuting adultery because last I knew it was a felony here and still considered a sin by at least a minority of religious people. It should maybe also be noted our divorce industry is in direct contradiction to Jesus's instruction(is that sin?) should it be changed also?

You must be very young, sheltered or naive to believe that government process can simply be fixed. Face facts, abortions are a necessary evil and in many cases the most humane option for the unborn babies.

Nope. - Middle-aged and seasoned. I've always believed there is a solution to every problem. Giving up or giving in is not a part of any solution.

No. Parenting is a fundamental human right. Some of the best parents are those with little to no economic means. Likewise, I've seen some pathetic parents who are high on the economic level.

I believe self defense is a fundamental human right and the 2nd. is a Constitutional right. So if I can't afford a gun or as many guns as I feel I need/want(like many women are with kids) I'm still entitled to them so others should have to pay for them for me?

I'll try to explain:

1. Teen sex is not a sin - early civilization had girls wedding in their early teens. When did it become a sin?

2. Premarital sex is a sin - It is taught in the New Testament.

3. Birth control is not a sin - I cannot find anywhere in the Old or New Testament where it says "Thou Shall Not Use Birth Control". This is a church teaching and the church has been known to be wrong. Look at the Catholic Church in the Middle Ages.

Wrong. Self defense and the 2nd Amendment are your rights. But, it is up to you to provide the means to exercise those rights.

The solution for unwanted children already exist. You're trying to take that solution away.

No - just trying to stop the killing of innocent human life. There are better solutions that would require a little work on a number of fronts. It will be hard to compete with the ease and convenience of dropping by Planned Parenthood to have the baby vacuumed out of the womb; and home in time for dinner.
