Cool picture, But what is it?

I took these two pics about 2 seconds apart while driving on I-35 just north of Waco Texas, I didn't notice the "object" in the first pic until I got home, I know it's not a UFO but just wondering if anyone has ever seen anything like it ? I'm guessing the beginning of a lightning bolt, but notice the brownish streaks going to the ground ?? Let's hear everyone's opinion !! Oh yeah, notice the tornado in the distance, that's what I was taking the picture of in the first place.

I doubt it's a plane, the pictures got posted backwards, I took the pic on the right first then the second pic a second or so later, it'd have to be damn fast to get in there like that! Not to mention the brown streaks going down to the ground ?

It's an image artifact caused by the rolling shutter in the camera. If you do a search for "rolling shutter lightning", you'll see lots of examples.

Sunlight shining through gaps in the cloud, happen to hit the airliner departing in one shot, just reflecting off the the stuff in the air made the streaks would be my guess.

If it's close enough, and you were moving at highway speeds, yeah, it's entirely possible. Could even have been a road construction sign, you just caught it at the right angle to only see the supports and warning light. At 70mph, you're moving a bit more than 100 feet every second, so anything close to the interstate is going to move out of view pretty quickly.
