Seems a lot of us have a similar story with one of these rifles. I was out on medical leave in 2013 due to a back injury. Was only bringing home partial pay, so I sold my M1A to help keep the ship afloat during that time. Always wanted another.

That's a beauty you got there. Congrats!

Heck it’s a good time to get one haha they have a few in stock at H&H for a decent price
Way out of my price range now and with my health, probably more rifle than I can handle.

To tell the truth, I would rather have my 49s back. Damn thieves. I had a 7mm, 8mm, 30.06 and one that someone had converted to 7.62 x 51. The 7mm was my favorite to shoot.

I've had one for about 3 yrs now, I'll never sell it or it'll be one of the last to go. Probably my favorite rifle to shoot right now, at least it sees more range time than the others anyway. Just fun to shoot!!! When the weather turns off crappy I plan on sending my trigger off to get worked over, other than that won't change a thing.

I had a basic loaded M1A years ago. I really liked it but, they are hard on brass. The older guys used to tell me shoot the brass 3 times then trash it before it separates . I replaced it with an Armalite AR10-T and never regretted it. I always wanted a White Feather M1A.
