Isn’t that covered by the sticker that show price per oz? Most stores have them, not exactly hard to calculate it at the ones that don’t have it.

Yeah, it's noticeable if you write it down every time you buy the product and check your list every time you buy more - provided said stickers are present.

^^^ That reminds me. I bought a box of Hamburger Helper. It didn't have much taste level or amount at all, and what taste it did have was not good. Think bland and an off taste. It also did not cook well to a good consitency. Even the dog would not eat it! I agree, I think the quality of ingredients has been cut.

A co worker and I had this discussion about ketchup. She made the comment how all ketchup brands taste off, I said you noticed that as well.

I can hardly stand the taste of any of it anymore. Does not taste the same.

Old fashioned real ketchup was good the way it was made. Nowdays the High Fructose Corn Syrup is being used more and more. It's not good for you, it tastes like crap, etc.

I believe since we can't rely on the integrity/honesty of most manufacturers/packagers of food products, that a law needs to be passed, with a strict penalty if violated, that if the stated quantity on the package isn't the total amount of the main product, that a second statement of the actual quantity of the main contents must be listed as well - or at least what the percentage of the main labeled product is. I, for one, don't like paying for water or oil that is nearly half of the stated net weight or volume.

Such afore mentioned labels would reveal the truer inflation for when containers or volume of the contents shrink.

Umm --- Ah --- Er --- Shouldn't the FDA have something to say about this?

WE have far too many LAWS, GOVERNMENT CONTROLS, CROOKED POLITICIANS FILLING THEIR POCKETS, AT OUR EXPENCE! Any time the government gets involved, they SCREW IT UP ROYALTY! You have the power to control what products YOU buy, if a product is loading the packages up with water, DON"T BUY IT AGAIN! That is called FREE ENTERPRISE! The market has a way of eliminating shoddy products, businesses, people, just in the normal course of doing business! Then these SODDY CROOKS, THAT GOT CAUGHT CHEATING PEOPLE, RUN FOR POLITICAL OFFICE!

I've been getting meat at Costco, it's the best quality and tasting at a price I can still justify. It's a larger pack, but I just repack into smaller freezer bags.

We were totally screwed by Pelosi and her cohorts with all this crazy non-essential covid stimulus crap, etc, Inflation and dollar devaluation, eWe
