As a diver myself, if for some crazy reason they are still alive, I couldn’t imagine planning my death 27hrs from now while being stuck in a 5in thick carbon fiber hull. I’m sure that sub untilizes some type of rebreather system with a helium/oxygen blended gas. At that depth running out of oxygen would be the least of my worries. Narcosis and paranoia would be a key player depending on cabin pressure.
