I shot the crap out of clays for years with an old clapped out Western Field pump action with an adjustable choke system. I stopped shooting that one when the stock split. I don't have that gun now because I'm a good guy, it's a long story. I was VERY happy with the Benelli today, it turns out to be a pretty good shotty for clays. lol. I want to try out one of those FN SLP MKI tactical shotguns now...

GG, next time out you guys need to try the M1, the recoil is suprisingly soft for a gun that is very lightweight. I continue to be impressed with it.

I never object to shooting other people's toys! :D

We actually used to have an m1 Super 90, but sold it pretty much right when I was getting into shooting. Now I kinda wish we'd kept it, but at the time I wanted a handgun, and it was just a home defense gun, hardly ever got shot, so we replaced it with a Mossy pump and bought more other fun toys.

I had a great time today. First time I've ever shot farther than 100 yards. :50cal: My first shot with my .308 at 265 yards I popped an 8" ballon. Might not sound like a big deal, but you try stepping out past 100 yards and see your results. Its not easy thats for sure. Anyways, one of the guys there was shooting the exact same gun as me just a different stock. It was awesome watching the bullet track downrange to the target, I could see the air disturbance through my scope. Mega-cool! After all the balloons were popped, I took some shots at the paper at that distance. I put 2 shots less than an inch apart at that distance... I gotta say I surprised myself. So, yes, I am officially hooked on shooting distance now.

Thanks to Ken for letting us use his range, he's got a great setup there. Thanks to everyone else for helping out and bringing food.
