Being bored lately, I answered an “unknown caller” call that I normally let go to voice mail. The caller had a foreign accent and you could tell he was reading from a script from his wording. He said he was from American Cash Advance and I was the recipient of a 3.9 million dollar prize.

He asked if I had been notified my mail and I said no. He then said the UPS was going to deliver my prize at 4:30 today and asked if I would be home to sign for my prize. I didn’t say “yes” because I suspected he may be recording me to get positive responses. I told him that I would be here. The next question was how did I want to receive my prize. He gave me the choice of direct deposit (why, if UPS was delivering it?) or registered mail. (again, why registered mail if UPS was delivering it). I told him cash.

Then, he goes on to tell me that I’m also getting a 2020 Cherry Red Lincoln Navigator. I told him I didn’t want one because I didn’t need another car and I didn’t want to pay the taxes and fees.

Click. He hung up on me.

Maybe he was wanting to 'burgal' your house at 4:30?

He would be very disappointed that I’m not the “rich American” that other countries believe we are. Or, he could become dog food. I kept waiting for him to ask me personal information, but he never did. I was going to give him the address to the local PD.
