took it to work and set a ups shipment. ...
Well why didn't the online set up reject the PO box?
UPS didn't botch the delivery, YOU did.
If UPS let him set up a shipment to a PO box, then accepted it for shipment, then UPS is the one who screwed the pooch here. If they don't deliver to PO boxes, then they shouldn't have allowed him to set up a shipment to one.

No, when you enter po box into the address online, that was his mistake. If he read the instructions, he would have seen his error.

Note: UPS cannot deliver to a PO Box. If you cannot obtain a street address and use a PO Box, the telephone number of the recipient must be on the label. A shipment addressed to a PO Box can experience delays, is not covered by any UPS service guarantees, and is assessed an address correction surcharge.

The contract they were talking about were about Surepost. You probably shipped Ground. The package has a P0 Box with No address at all, not whatever post office you sent it to, just a po box.
Only deliveries to the USPS by UPS, is through surepost/ups and smartpost/fedex.
There are size/weight limits.

Deliveries to the post office will have the post office address on it.
You probably shipped it like this

No. The OP didn’t botch it. UPS botched it. They changed the town, receiver and address entirely on the package.

I've been off work for the past year, so yes, it may have changed. I understand Fedex express and ground will be combining as well.
One FedEx! :woot:They aren't changing the model much - Express are still employees and Ground are contractors. What they're starting to do is allow FXE to pickup/deliver FXG packages and vice versa. Too many instances of an Express driver passing a Ground driver on the same street. Theoretically, could be going to same residence if has an overnight as well as 50 lb 3 day'er.

Don't they have 3 different trucks? Fedex express, ground, and home?
