Neckbearding and ammo hoarding aren’t fully to blame for the ammunition shortages based on all the videos that I’ve seen that spoke directly to or interviewed the ammunition manufacturers. There are several million new gun owners that we didn’t have this time last year and even if they just a few boxes of ammunition, it adds up. Coupled with material, supply chain issues and Remington shutting down due to bankruptcy, it made one hell of a perfect storm for ammunition availability. Oh, the overseas ammunition manufacturers also had the same issues, too.

Neckbearding, ammo hoarding, and poor planning (I mean why wouldn’t you buy a lifetime supply of ammunition in every caliber.) seem to be the same old scapegoats in every thread about ammo.

I’m about as tired of seeing and reading ammunition threads as I am seeing people go back and forth about COVID and masks wearing.

Another major impact to the supply was the Remington bankruptcy. That took a huge chunk of production offline. The Remington Ammo plant in Arkansas is now back online so we should be seeing that begin to hit the shelves. That should make a huge impact "pun intended".

You know, that's the same thing I said when we discussed it at work yesterday; everyone at the gun show blaming Biden, but Biden wasn't the one there putting $100 stickers on boxes of pistol ammo.
yep, its about time everyone realized that 99% of people and companies making money off shooters care only about profits and use 2nd amendment political bs to maximize profits

I have seen where alot of people will go in after a certain cal of ammo and just pick up what they can find then try to trade it for what they wanted to begin with instead of leaving it on the shelf for those that could use it. And not just ammo but reloading supplies also. I personally haver bought any ammo in 4 years that i know of and then usually only a couple of boxes for a caliber i didnt own to begin with til i could get what i needed to reload for it.
