New to the 10mm game and was wondering what everyone’s ammo pref was for practice and as a defensive round? Also, best places to get it local and online?

The last time I was in cabelas, they had 10mm Herters brand for either $16 or $17. I didn’t think that was a bad price for 10mm.

Academy sells full power sig ammo for 23 a box the stuff Mr Bleak mentioned is basically 40 cal loads which works great for practice.
I load hunting rounds for the 10 so I have no input for you on SD rounds unless you want to smoke the bad guy and 3-4 folks behind them

The Sellier&Bellot 180 gr 10mm is excellent practice ammo, worth buying in bulk.
There are lots of great defensive rounds, the easiest to find are the SIG 180 gr v-crown.

i'll be getting a 1000 s&b from sga soon, likely order next week. that's what i meant by "bulk or single box"
Armscor 10mm 180 gr is also a very good range round but I have been having trouble finding it locally of late. Also, as already mentioned the Sig V- Crown is a good defense round as is the Cor-Bon ammo.
