I've always heard this as the same reason. They own all their own supply as well and it's in Cali so they try to keep everything within driving distance.
Really though, they could still make this business model work further out as well. It's a shame because it is one of the finest burgers known to man.
I agree, them burgers are so good. I lived in Corona, off Magnolia Ave. I graduated from Katella High though, in Anaheim.
You need to try Fat Guy Burgers then..... save yourself the trip for a better Burger and fries.
