I'm pretty sure Springfield and Colt use forged frames and carbon steel slides. (Taurus also uses forged frame). Springfield uses MIM internals. Colts use only MIM sear, disconnect, strut. And Dan Wesson does have MIM parts on select models such as Heritage and Specialist. The sprue mark not as obvious but it is MIM indeed. Not that there is a problem with MIM since if it's pretty much stress free and strong if it's done right. Wilson Combats use to have many MIM parts.

Right....so like I said...... and was pointing out.... there are cast parts in some of the guns he was mentioning. Something he said he wouldn't use.

Anyone know of a CZ/DW dealer in Tulsa that actually stocks DW 1911s? 2A has none in stock, and Sports World just has one Bruin. Last time I was in Second Hand Rose, all they had were a few CZ rifles. I'd like to at least fondle one before dropping that kind of money.

My Davidsons Rep called me yesterday trying to get me to buy a Valor. I was like how do you know I'm looking for a new 1911? Well it's been kind of slow and I saw you were on the website looking at 1911's so I called. Dang intelligence gathering. However I guess I do the same thing with analyticals on my store web site too. Amazing what those reports tell you. Still trying to decide on a 1911 though.
