Must have been quite a read for 25 Cents in 1939 !!

The mail order ads for the guns would be fabulous to see.

It was a time when our 2nd amendment still had some meat on its bones.

Somewhere I have a box full of A.R.'s from the 50's & 60's. Mail order adds for surplus 1911's $9.95 and $1.00 shipping! Almost makes me wish I was 20 years older. :gun1:

ONLY problem was that $10.95 was 1 - 2 days pay and our DOLLAR was actually worth something. Still a bargain by today's standards.
