We finally put some feathers and dog hair in the water, wigeon and a gad.

Zone 1 Opener.
Not many ducks but Hank did GREAT!!
4 retreives, one of which was a criple that dove under multiple times. Hank chased it down and brought it back.
I could not be more excited :multi:

Some early season hunt just don't pan out as one would hope.

But we did manage over 100 Crappie.

Well Hank is coming along nicely as a duck dog.
We managed a few birds here and there, but not much that are picture worthy.

But on Saturday we got into some birds.
18 birds in 25-min.

It was pretty fast paced, but Hank handled it very well. All that work searching for dead's in the tall grass and chasing down two cripples left him pretty content to sit still in the blind.



Anyone know how to train a dog to smile?

He is a Drahthaar.

He is a German Breed. Kinda like the Swiss Army knife of hunting dogs.
He points, tracks retrieves, etc......
