Great looking specks, how far west did you have to go?

A good ways! Not too far from your neck of the woods.

that last pic is awesome porter!

Thank you. Those birds swarmed for about 10 minutes, and we got some great video. I'll try to post some footage if I can figure out how to upload it. We actually scared a few thousand birds out of the spread so we didn't shoot into them and have them bug out of the county. Hopefully they'll stick around for a few weeks so we can hunt them a few more times.

Looks like a helluva shoot! Congrats Porter. Those are the really exciting hunts.

Yes sir. Those are the hunts that make getting 7 or 8 hours worth of sleep in 3 days and putting a few hundred miles on the truck all worth it!

Great pics guys. You are THE waterfowl man Jason!

Haha! I don't know about that Lonnie, but I sure love to chase those web footed suckers!

Took Drgnracin72 out with me this morning. The fog was ridiculous. It forced us into an area I hadn't planned on hunting as we couldn't see 10 ferry in front of the boat.

I took my dog with us. It is obvious he needs some serious obedience training. He did go with me to retrieve the 2 ducks that Drgnracin72 doubled on, but due to the birds he shot, I grabbed them and didn't force the retrieve.

Drgnracin72's double. We had just talked about how neither of us have taken a wood duck. The Drake is in perfect condition.

As we waited for the fog to lift, which it never did, a beaver swam into the set. I took the opportunity and shot him. He was probably around 55lbs or so.

We had a few flyovers, but the fog was so thick either birds weren't moving much or we couldn't see them. All in all a good time though.

Great video Porter! Nice MIH and Drgnracin72, yes we had some fog this morning as well. Started off just cloudy, then the fog rolled in. About an hour later, about the time we had to leave, it lifted again. Managed some wigeon and gads, despite zero wind and out kazoo like calling.
