So what sort of shooting challenges go into this competition?

You can find quite a bit of general information about these here:

http://www.ruger.com/micros/rugerRimfire/index.html?r=y

This one coming up in Tulsa is 12 stages - 390 rounds.

I can't find any links to the stages for the 2013 Tulsa world championship, but here is a link to the stages at the 2013 Oklahoma Ruger Rimfire Challenge held in May:

Here's(what I assume is) a youtube video of that course in action:

Man, that kid can shoot!

Can you guys suggest any hotels near the event? We're coming over from missouri. Thanks!

How close to the range do you want to be and what's your price range? Do you prefer to stay in the city or don't mind staying in one of the burbs?

East Tulsa and definitely North Tulsa can get dicey if you decide to stay in any hotels there, you really need to do your homework.

Downtown has good access to HWY 75, plenty of bars, restaurants, etc close by and is about the nearest but I bet it's pricier to stay in Downtown.

Owasso is probably the safest, closest suburb to stay in to the range.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply! I guess we"ll stay in Owasso. Im bringing my 12 year old daughter so partying will not be on the agenda this weekend. LOL! I'll start checking the hotels in Owasso. I appreciate your input. I had no idea North Tulsa was that scary.
