We have been hunting sunflower fields the last couple years....best hunting I have ever been on.

I need to plant some of those one of these days.

I know a farmer out my way that planted acres of sunflowers. The rain has set in here. The thermos is empty and bar ditches are full so I came home toweled off got some coffee and rubbed my gun down. 7 inches in the rain gauge. It was still a great morning!.......(if you're a duck).

Was all set to go for the first time in 15 years. Got an escalation call at around 0430 this morning and just got pff the phone for that. Now it's pouring down. Guess I might try opening morning again next year

By 745 I thought the rain was ending (it was on radar) so I slogged through calf deep mud and setup. It started pouring and my rain jacket simply allowed my pants to soak to the point water was running into my boots. I picked up and headed home. Didn't stop raining until about 1030.
