70⁰ and on my 4th cup, deer hunting motivation meter is bouncing on zero this morning lol.

As I mentioned in another post we lost a niece on Veteran's day so we were down with my MIL last week and I didn't feel much like getting out today. But I did go on an evening hunt last Wednesday. Had a really nice wide buck come right by my stand and let me just say . . . Centerpoint crossbow safety buttons are too loud. I had that sucker in my sights and pushed it off safety and he bolted. Lesson learned I guess . . . from now on the safety will be off as soon as I'm in the stand/blind.

Instead of pushing the safety off & letting it click,
Use both your thumb & finger & slowly move it into position. It won't make that loud spooky click that will make deer bolt.
It works for me, on my crossbow & on firearms.
Certainly give this a try before you sit with that weapon in your lap with the safety off.

Crisp 17 degrees here this morning but no wind at all. Figured they would be moving in the cold but have only seen 4 doe and a bobcat. The cat walked in front of my blind at about 65 yds and laid in a sunny spot for 20 mins.

Yeah well, I drove 500 miles to get here, so…

I’ve seen 12 does and 6 bucks this morning so far, and I videoed the big 8 again. I’m checking my non cell cameras shortly, so he may have received his last pass.
Wind just picked up out of the south but isn’t too bad.
