As I mentioned in another post we lost a niece on Veteran's day so we were down with my MIL last week and I didn't feel much like getting out today. But I did go on an evening hunt last Wednesday. Had a really nice wide buck come right by my stand and let me just say . . . Centerpoint crossbow safety buttons are too loud. I had that sucker in my sights and pushed it off safety and he bolted. Lesson learned I guess . . . from now on the safety will be off as soon as I'm in the stand/blind.

Thanks all! Still pumped about the buck.

This morning was awfully slow until 9am then the switched flipped to full send! I saw 14 different deer from 9-1030 and several more than once. 3 chases including one with a small double main beam with him at 6 yards and the yearling doe i could've poked with my rifle. You can see my rifle sling in the photo. 4 deer under 10 yards. Biggest buck was a 2.5 8 point.

Well, it looks like it’s just going to be me and my wife again this year for the first few days of rifle season. I had been planning on my youngest son being up to hunt this weekend, but he’s remodeling the house he just bought by himself and wants to use his days off for that. I‘m disappointed but don’t blame him. :anyone:
No dad, your son is right here. I’ll go huntin with ya!🤣🤣
