I did a ammo inventory this past weekend and I've got 478 mixed mfg 12 ga. 2 3/4" steel #3's on hand to feed my A5......I'm pretty well set on ammo.

The few resident geese is all we have had for past 4 years. Very, very few ducks.

Hope we get a big push and can find some places to hunt.

Yes, late season the past few years had been bad. Christmas through Jan should be ducks galore, but it has been very disappointing.

Several large flocks of Sandhills flying over last weekend while I was setting up stands and refilling corn. I love listening to them. Never shot any, but would love to someday.

Unless we get some serious rains, duck hunting around my place is going to be nonexistent.

Listening to cranes may be what I look forward to most during muzzleloader season. I’m planning to try the @MasterCarper long range crow load on a crane this year.
I’m not really a waterfowl or crane hunter, but my long term goal is to plant enough green stuff that the geese and cranes will land in it.

Harder to decoy into range than geese.
Sandhills are tough, long shots, usually.
