How does one go about finding a hunting lease these days? I know in the past many have used Craigslist but that is just full of scammers
Probably just asking folks around the area where you want hunt. You’ll also need to have a backpack full of cash to compete with the Texans coming up this way.

That is definitely no lie. One Texan ran ours up 50% and the funny thing is he doesn't even need the lease because he owns a bunch of land down the road.

You won’t convince me hunter numbers are higher than they were in the 1960s-80s. Maybe I am just an optimistic person but don’t see the issue over what has been historic. Hunters now a days have an easier way to complain and this comes from someone that does hunt public land, in addition to private.
