Keep your head up my friend, because I haven’t had but a couple daylight pictures of deer in two days off 3 cameras here in Texas. It was youth weekend here, and neither my niece nor nephew saw a single deer.

I agree. I think it was my first time ML hunting that I didn’t even see one in the distance.
Wow, that was very intense. I just remembering the phrase “No good deed goes unpunished”.
I think if it was me then I would rather use one my buck tag instead of taking that kind of risk, there is no deer worth dying for.
Edited: I would only use the buck tag if the deer season is on.

Unfortunately, I never did find the one I shot last week but I was able to help a friend find his this evening. Very little blood to be found w/ him. We managed to find a faint blood trail on and off for over 150 yards before finding him.
