.22 Aguila Colibri Ammo

Just ordered a box of this stuff. Says its a subsonic round and does not utilize conventional gun powder. Anyone know about this stuff?

I use the Super Colibris in bolt and lever action rifles for plinking with the kids in the back yard. Quieter than any of our air guns. Accurate enough out to 30 or 40 yards. They do lead up the barrel a bit more than other ammo.
Pretty loud out of a revolver, but silent out of a rifle.

Im wondering since the pressure levels are so low how well gas operation will work in a semi auto. I plan to use these in my Ruger single six but might want to play around with some of the other pistols. Also I just read that there may be a concern with using them in longer barreled firearms with the bullet not exiting. Im just not familiar with this kind of round. Is it comparable to short rifle ballistically?

Their website says NOT to use them in long guns, may not clear the barrel!

A Rossi circuit judge 22 is ideal for this cartridge. Won't function is semi's. Quietest in a gun like the PWS Summit

Is this the primer driven round?

There is the Colibri and Super Colobri. They say not to use thr Colibri in long barrels. It is just primer.
