Want To Buy 22 rifle with a worn out barrel.

You read that right. I am looking for a cheap bolt action, single shot, break-over, etc (basically non semi-auto) 22lr or 22wmr rifle that still functions, but has a shot-out barrel or otherwise poor accuracy.

The uglier and cheaper the better. It does not have to look good, it just needs to still go bang and work as a single shot.

Unless rusted, I can't imagine shooting out a .22lr barrel. I estimate I put well over 50k through a Ruger 10/22 barrel, many in rapid fire mag dumps. I bought a threaded barrel a while back so I bought it and pulled the other off thinking it would have an eroded throat. It actually looked nice and after a cleanup, it looked like it'd be ready for that much more at least.

Probably not on a modern barrel. The old stuff was typically softer and could wear out. But even a slightly rusty barrel might work for the project I have in mind.

Where are you located? I might have one or more 'gunsmith specials' that may or may not be fully functional. I'd have to look to see exactly what I have if you are around the OKC area, you could look at them. Most aren't much. I inherited them.

I'm near the capitol. NW 23rd & Western area. Feel free to PM me if you find anything. I've resurrected a fair number of derelict 22 rifles so that doesn't scare me (much). The real challenge is usually figuring out if the parts are available anywhere.
