If anyone has looked at shooting a cowboy Wild Bunch Match, but did not have the necessary firearms we are going to have a perfect way to see how it works. Sunday at 9 p.m. we are going to have a Wild Bunch style match only using 22 rimfires. Some regular cowboys are going to bring .22 rifles and pistols and there will be some extra shotguns so if anyone wants to try a Wild Bunch style match all it would take is a box of shotgun shells and about 150 .22 rounds. We will have six stages and without brass to pick up they should go pretty quickly. Tulsey

Since this is just a introduction and fun match we are not going to be particular. Bring what you have. 22 rifles, 22 pistol or revolvers and a shotgun.
. In a real Wild Bunch Match the rules state only a 1911 in .45 caliber and only a visible hammer lever or pump rifle in .40 caliber or above along with only a 12 ga model 97 shotgun until Jan 2013 when a model 12 in 12 ga will be legal. Those are the SASS rules.
Wild Bunch rules state only five rounds in pistol magazines so in a real match you have lots of magazine changes. We willl look at that Sunday based on what people who up with. We will also look at multiple pistols in place of so many magazines.
Should be fun and quick not having to look for brass.
