Unless things have changed, Ruger stopped selling / fitting cylinders.

I wanted to get a 9mm cylinder for my .357 Blackhawk.

I have a Single Six .22LR OM, it didn't come with a Mag cylinder.
My Stainless and NM, have both cylinders.

Call Ruger, but I don't believe they will do you any good.

The only insight I have is this. I had a 357 BH and came across a good deal on a 9mm cylinder. I thought I’d buy the 9 and have a nice convertible package. Nope, both gun and cylinder must be a convertible. I ended up trying two other cylinders from friends guns. One would not even fit in the frame and the other would fit but wouldn’t turn.
My gun was not a convertible framed gun.
I researched it some and there are some very slight differences in dimensions.

Did the guy who got the gun for safekeeping and sold the other one he had get the name of the person he sold the other on to.

If yes you could maybe get a hold of him and see if he also got a mismatched cylinder.

As far as the weapon being worth more money with the other cylinder.
I say F that.
Why is something that is handed down from a relative or a friend even in the field of "how much is it worth"
It will never make you rich and that money you get when you sell it will be spent on bills or something.

Keep it, shoot it and enjoy it.

Or, hear me out, maybe, just enjoy the SS 22 WMR, then....
Buy a Wrangler for 22lr!

Joe
Buy the Wrangler and pop the cylinder out of it and use it in the Single - six. Might work.
I bought a .22 LR cylinder at a gun show for 50 bucks and dropped it in my .22 mag. Single-six. Couldn't ask for a better fit. YMMV.

No, my BIL is a mess. He is unimpressed he screwed three people. The guy that bought his, my son and himself. He never even offered an explanation or a suggestion. This has been a bad deal all around when he became involved and there is more to the story which I will not air here.

This BIL is NOT, I repeat NOT the one with the tractor recently.
