I’m not young Clay plus 2 wore out knees I’m planning on staying close to the road I helped my son in law last year and there were a lot shot within a 100 yards of the road lol

Oh wow, I always thought it had to be a long hike in and up which I could not do.

The 150 grain is enough bullet.
I’ve killed 6 elk with a 30-06 165 grain Barnes TTSX. All complete pass throughs except 1.
Just make sure the bullet your using is designed for elk.

Oh wow, I always thought it had to be a long hike in and up which I could not do.

There were a few men last year in their 70’s and one that I seen was in his 80’s he was one of them killed close to the road and brought out whole

Barnes, nosler partition, nosler Accubond.......the bullet construction is more important than the grains imo.
