300 blk fired in 5.56 gun

Was talking with a guy at work. He’s going to build his first AR soon and wants to build a 300 pistol for his next one. We got to talking about the fact that some 300 rounds will chamber in a 5.56 gun. I found this video while we were discussing it.

I have my uppers and mags marked by caliber in red nail polish and no loose ammo mixed up. If shooting 300 all 5.56 put away and vice versa

I use two entirely different magazine brands for 5.56 and .300 BLK. I use black 30 round PMags for 5.56 and translucent smoke colored 20 round Lancer mags for .300 BLK. I think it would take a terminal case of brain fade to cross up the magazines and guns.
