I’m at this point now. I have 2 .357 revolvers and no long guns in this caliber. I want a Henry Big Boy X-model. Those new bad boys look sweet. I’ve always wanted a .44 mag. So, do I buy the Henry in .44 or .357?

IMO... I would recommend getting the .357 especially because you have the revolvers in the same caliber.

Even less energy is a 230gr at 800fps from a 45acp 327 foot pounds of energy at the muzzle.
over 40 yards I hit a deer with one shot and it was bang flop.

I would not want to be hit by any bullet no matter the advertised energy.

It is interesting how much more oomph the 44 does have though.

Interesting the 125gr held on very well at long distance

I have a like new .45 LC Henry in the classifieds that I would love to trade for same model .44 mag, or even .357 mag.

I'm partial to the red headed stepchild...

Have more fun with a 41...

I like my Marlin better than my Henry.

I bought one around 35 years ago and I will never part with it.
I do think one in 357 Maximum would be even cooler though.

I'm in love with my Henry Big Boy in 44 mag. Eventually, I'll need to add their .357 to the stable.
