That voice that said I'll help you. That was a blessing, hold on to that. He has a plan for you, and once you know the plan and accept it, you will have inner peace like you've never known.

Glad to hear man. Being able to stop after that long has to be tough, let that voice help you! I have a BIL that needs to stop drinking, but I don't see that happening until he confronts the issues that cause him to "self medicate"...maybe one day.

I’m not as good as I want to be but I’m a work in progress and getting better by reading and studying Scripture daily. Don’t remember who said it but they said.

Whatever works for you is great, be it religion, AA, or anything else. One day at a time, and every day is a victory. I have 5077 days(13 years, 10 months, 25 days). You can do it.
