.44Spl??????? Its called Special for a reason, just like the .38Spl.

This! I've always liked the .44 Special cartridge, but then I've never been a magnum fan. The only reason I don't own one now is I've got a .45 Colt. I think I still have about three boxes of 200gr CorBon DPX which is a great SD load (if anyone's interested in an equivalent .45 ACP/Colt ammo trade.)

44spl/mag sure are satisfying to load - I sure wouldn't want to be buying them already loaded.

That's a "snack size" zip lock. 30 rounds would be about a snack.....

I love the snack size bags, I usually stuff 50 rounds of 9mm in them and they stack quite nice in an ammo box. Easy to count and grab a known number of rounds for a range trip.

I love my .44 mag for what it's designed for, but love shooting the S&W 65-5 in .45LC.

I think you meant 25-5. IF you have a K-frame 65-5 turned into a .45Colt then you need to be posting pic's!!!!!

The 44 Special is at its best when you reload. Just don't try to turn it into a magnum. Although my 4" 624 with a red "C" is strong, I'll just use a larger revolver if magnums are needed. With that in mind, the 44 Special is a versatile round.
